This article covers new product enhancements included in our February 23 release of Version 8.4.1.
Upload Tool
We've made additional updates to our new Upload Tool, including the ability to see a list of selected documents before starting the upload process. This makes it easier to review documents to make sure the correct case file or activity tags are set for the upload.
Progress Window
A new setting has been added under Tools & Settings > User Preferences that allows the Progress Window to remain minimized by default.
The Progress Window will default to its minimized state as you perform actions such as uploading documents or generating a document index. The window can be expanded at any time to view more details on in-progress processes.
Sort by Document Date
You can now sort the case files Activities table by Date of Document! Select the Show Document Date to replace the standard Date column with the Document Date values for documents. Click on the column name to sort the documents in either descending or ascending order. Documents with no set Date of Document will be sorted by their Activity Date instead.
To return the Activities table to the normal view, click the "Hide Document Date" button.
Note: Showing the Document Date will automatically hide non-document activities from view.
Payments & Adjustments on PDF Invoices
You can now include detailed payment information directly on your PDF invoices. When enabled, invoices will display a dedicated Payments and Adjustments section listing individual payments, discounts, and write-offs as line items — including the date posted, associated case, memo/description, and amount.
This provides clients with greater transparency into their payment history on each invoice and helps reduce billing questions by clearly showing how balances were calculated.
This setting can be enabled in Tools & Settings > Accounting Setup > Invoicing under Display payment and discount details on PDF invoices.
