Invoices
Additional message attachments are now allowed when sending PDF invoices via email. When using the Send via Email option on invoices, you can select more files to attach to the email from either your computer or directly from the case file linked to the invoice.
Use these options in the event you need to provide additional documentation to your client for ledger entries, or if you want to provide additional case information at the same time as sending an invoice.
Time Tracking
Firms now have stricter options for enforcing billing contact usage for time logging purposes. A new firm preference under Tools & Settings > Accounting Setup > Time Tracking requires a billing party to be specified on a case file before case ledgers can be logged for that case.
Enable this setting to ensure that case files are fully set up with an appropriate billing contact before ledger entries are recorded for the case. This firm preference will also make sure individual ledger items cannot be created without a billing party set, making time tracking and invoicing a more consistent process.
Progress Window
The progress window now offers additional control over the information displayed for completed processes. When creating document index files or importing case information with the ADJ Import Tool, individual processes can be cleared out of the progress window by clicking the X icon on the right side of the progress window. All finished processes can be cleared at once with the Clear Completed button.
Clearing out processes once they've finished running can make it easier to keep track of tasks that you have already addressed in your day-to-day work. For example, you can clear out document index processes from the progress window when you have downloaded them to avoid duplicate downloads. Completed processes will automatically clear out after a day.
