This article covers new product enhancements included in our February 13, 2023 release.
✨ = User Requested Feature
✨ Party Ordering
Firms can now select to display parties in alphabetical order on the Parties Tab by checking a box under Firm Preferences > Display Options: Case ID & Parties. (See below.) This is particularly helpful for firms that have to serve all parties on the Official Address Record they receive from EAMS. Users can quickly compare and contrast the OAR with parties listed under the parties tab. The applicant (or plaintiff) in the case will always appear at the top of the list.
✨ Archiving Contacts
Keep your contact lists up-to-date and improve contact search time with our new archive contacts feature. Contacts can be archived unless: 1) they are a party on a case; or 2) they are associated with an unreconciled payment.
-
Archiving contacts will remove them from search results and prohibit users from adding these contacts as a party in a case.
-
There is a checkbox in the search preferences to “Include Archived Contacts”
-
Archived contacts in search results will have a black “Archived” chip under their name.
-
You can “Unarchive” a contact.
✨Task Description Editor
The task description editor has been updated to address issues caused by a previous change which allowed for rich text formatting. The editor now matches the editor used for messages in MerusCase, and the following issues were specifically addressed.
-
Document title pre-populates into the task description when created by selecting “Add Task” from the control menu associated with a file under Recent Firm PDFs.
-
Right clicking from the task description box shows the user all normal options.
-
Ctrl+C (copy), Ctrl+X (cut), and Ctrl+V (paste) all work within task descriptions.
Tracking Reopened Cases
Users can now track the date a case is reopened. Upcoming release will also include a new field for “Reason Reopened” so that users can track the who, why, and when of when of a reopened case.
Other Fixes
-
In email settings, users can change “Move Deleted Items To” folder for both Outlook and Gmail.
-
When multiple email accounts are synced, clicking “Fetch Mail” synchronizes ALL accounts, both individual and shared.
