The following are some frequently asked questions about the ADJ Import Tool in MerusCase. See our instructional article for more information on how to use this feature.
Can I import EAMS data when I create a new case file?
The ADJ Import Tool is available on Workers’ Compensation case files after they have been initially created. It can also be used to import multiple ADJ numbers into the same case file, so it is no longer necessary to create additional case files for each injury.
Is everyone at my firm able to use the ADJ Import Tool?
By default, this feature can be used by users with Power User permissions and higher. If your firm would like to allow General Staff to be able to use the tool, please contact our support team to enable the change.
I accidentally typed in the wrong ADJ number into the import tool, but I don’t want to import the information into the case file. What should I do?
Clicking the “Delete” button, represented by a trash can icon, will exclude that ADJ number. All the other ADJ numbers will be imported and saved as expected.
Will clicking the “Delete” button during the import process affect any of my case information?
No, the “Delete” button in the ADJ Import Tool only affects EAMS data before it has been saved to a case file.
What happens if I search for the same ADJ number multiple times in the same case?
Searching for the same ADJ number allows you to update any information on your case file that was previously retrieved from EAMS. Saving the newer data will override any data saved from any earlier imports.
