In the top navigation bar of MerusCase, click Contacts.
Click Search Contacts & Companies. This will open the search bar, enabling you to search through your firm’s rolodex in order to find a specific contact.
Click the magnifying glass to the right of the search bar. Here, you can narrow your search by using filters. For the Contacts & Companies section, the available filters are: Display Name, Companies Only, Last Name, First Name, Social Security Number, Email Addresses, Phone Numbers, Address Display, City, State, ZIP Code, County, and UAN Code.
One unique component of the Search/Filter capabilities for the Contacts and Companies section is the ability to filter by People Type. Click the magnifying glass to the right of the search bar to see this area.
Any table in MerusCase allows for filtering across any of the columns on your screen to provide the user with a tailored list in the system. The filter can be used to quickly find information inside the table.
Applying Multiple Search Filters
Enter the first filter into the search bar, and click on the magnifying glass. On click, a drop-down window will appear. Click Add Filter and toggle what to filter by.

To remove a filter, click on the filter itself. Each applied filter appears as a button underneath the Search bar, shown below in yellow.
How to Export a List of All Contacts
1. Click Contacts in the navigation bar > Search Contacts & Companies.
2. Type the caret symbol into the search bar. The caret symbol is ^
This will provide a list of all contacts in the system and you can see how many entries there are.
3. Click the printer icon in the top right corner (shown below in yellow). Select Export Table to export the list of contacts as a CSV, or export it to Excel.
